What Metaphysics is Not
Let’s look at what metaphysics is not, that we may then give some stronger boundaries around what metaphysics is.
What is Metaphysics?
I believe the proper way to introduce a subject matter for closer study and understanding is first to identify the parameters around the subject. Next, we probably should define a few terms associated with the subject. You can consider this a rare treat – my attempt at writing an on-line textbook for Metaphysics via blog postings… (laugh all you might… but hey – it may actually be useful someday – when we are both cats).
An Introduction to Metaphysics
When I indicate to others that I am a student of Metaphysics, I normally get a number of knee-jerk reactions from folks who aren’t altogether aware of what that term entails. Not the least of which include the all-too-familiar roll of the eyes, shrug of the shoulders, or the knowing nod accompanying a vacant stare. Rarely do I get the sense that the other person understands what I just said…
the act of creating
The secret in creating great works is not to get too hung up on perfection or become attached or identified with the outcome. The other great secret to crafting and creating great work lies in this – not to fear the resulting image for it is merely a reflection of who and what you are in that moment in time in which you created the masterpiece.
